To participate in a teletherapy appointment, at a minimum you will need the following equipment:
|Computer, Tablet, or Phone
|Depending on the type of session, it may be easier to use a laptop or desktop computer, particularly if you are going to be showing or viewing materials.
|External or Integrated Web Camera
|A webcam with 720p will work well, but for a better resolution look for 1080p.
|External or Integrated Microphone
|The microphone you choose will depend on your comfort level. A built-in microphone will work, but if you have a hard time hearing the other person or are in an environment with background noise, look for a headset with a microphone. Headphones with noise-canceling capabilities will also help reduce background noise.
|You’ll want an internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 10 MBPS download speed and 1 MBPS upload speed. You can check your internet speed here. When possible, choose an ethernet cable over Wifi to ensure you receive the best possible connection.
Maximize Bandwidth: Close any background applications you don't plan on using during your teletherapy session to ensure the platform receives the majority of your internet's bandwidth. Streaming videos or games can also decrease your bandwidth and may interfere with your teletherapy session.

Check Your Equipment: Check your equipment and connection. Do a trial run to make sure your equipment works properly and there aren't any issues with connectivity.
