Permissions: You need the Billing permission to delete a claim.
You can delete a claim from Fusion if it was accidentally created and you don't need information from the claim or the remits it's linked to.
Linked Remits: When you delete a claim or claim instance, any remits will be un-linked and the adjudication information will be removed. To save a copy of this information before deleting it, you can print the remits from the claim's Remittances tab.
1. Open the claim you want to delete.
2. In the lower left, click the Delete button.
Button Not Available? If the claim has been finalized, you may need to revise the claim before you can delete it.
3. You will either be able to delete the entire claim or the current claim instance.
- If there is no secondary or tertiary claim, click the Delete Entire Claim button to completely delete the claim.
- If there is a secondary or tertiary claim, click the Delete Secondary or Delete Tertiary button to delete that instance of the claim. Afterwards, you can delete the entire claim by repeating step 2.
Recreate a Claim: If you need to recreate the claim, you can manually create it from the patient's list of completed documents.
